I always enjoy the Sunday before Thanksgiving. Why do I like it so much? It has become our tradition to have a thanksgiving focused Communion service the Sunday evening before Thanksgiving, followed by a "New Members" pot luck.

Can you say Baptist + food = yummy?

Our attendance was own yesterday (again) but the spirit of things seemed up. We had a new pianist participate yesterday, which is always good, and the entire day ran smoothly.

Er, I don't really have much more to say. I guess being such a blogging machine last week used up all the words I have. ;) Here's the set-list.

  • We Are So Blessed // Gaither, Nelson
  • Thanks // Carol Cymbala (Brooklyn Tab.)
  • Forever // Tomlin
  • Give Thanks // Don Moen
  • Kindness // Tomlin, Giglio, Reeves

How many of you can handle Gaither, Brooklyn Tab. and Tomlin in one service?

This is a part of Sunday Setlist at Fred McKinnon [dot] com.

Love the blend. Sounds like our church. I always tell folks "if you don't like a song we're singing, don't worry the next one will probably be completely different." Happy Thanksgiving.
