I'm waaaay behind on clearing out my starred items in Google reader. Whenever I find something that resonates with me in some way, I star it so I can copy/paste it into Evernote some time in the future. Now I've got over 500 items starred and it's time to clean house.
I thought I share some of these tidbits with you over the coming days (weeks?). You might be subscribed to these blogs already, but if not you might find something that makes you click the link and read more. (OK, ok. I'll admit the first quote is not from a blog, but it was too good not to include.)
- "A quote I heard once is that people aren't necessarily afraid of change. They're afraid of being changed." // Kathy Sierra in Killing Cockroaches by Tony Morgan, p. 107.
- “Most of us know a lot more of God’s truth than we put into practice.” // Steven Furtick quoted by Perry Noble.
- “The Bible doesn’t change your life…the application of the Bible changes your life.” // Steven Furtick quoted by Perry Noble again.
- "Don't sing on Sunday what you are not willing to live on Monday." // Scot Longyear
- "When we resist God’s command, there is no thankfulness to what He’s done for us. Instead, we are saying 'I know better than you, God.' By the way, how’s that working out for you?" // Matt Stevens
- "A ministry that has stopped failing has stopped growing." // Craig Groeschel
- "I know in my church, in my department there is only one talent I prize above all others, dare I say many churches and perhaps even yours would be very similar.Arriving (on time or early is preferable)." // Joshua Withers
- "As for living what you sing, well I couldn't agree with you more, but if you like being challenged, try singing what you live. Then compare notes…" // Phil Heald
- "If worship does not propel us into greater obedience, it has not been worship." // Brent Miner quoting Richard Foster.

Phil's a great guy. I've gotten a lot of great insights from him over the years.
