Let us worship with reverence and awe for our God is a consuming fire.

It's Spring Break week for public schools in our area, so we had the usual mix of missing members along with visiting family in attendance. That always seems to give you a hodge-podge of folks that aren't a part of your weekly process, and so have different expectations for what "church" is like.
One poor older man sat there the entire service with his hands over his ears, even during parts when there was only speaking. I can't wait until next week when the install on the new sound system begins—finally after being struck by lightning two years ago. I know we have uneven sound, and you might sit in a sonic hot spot, but I don't think it was that loud. Again, he was a guest that was probably used to a church that didn't use that level of volume.
We debuted Hosanna yesterday. I honestly have no idea how the crowd reacted. I did something I NEVER done before since I was not leading the song. I either had my head down or my eyes closed during the whole thing, just concentrating on playing my guitar as my participation in worship. It was a very different experience.

I've seen "Hosanna" pop up quite a bit on setlists this week. Great song!
